My Life


This project made me look at myself and my life in so many new ways.I had always heard things my mom had told me I was like growing up and just disregarded them. Now that we are looking at development and personality I realize all those things I did made me into who I am and helped in my development. The one thing I really started feeling while typing things about my childhood is that I may sound pretentious,because I was just a chill child, much like I am still today, but I promise I'm not, I know I'm no better than anyone else,and I wouldn't want to be.

    Hey Sierra! I am so glad that you made the tri-fold! I wanted to but did not have the time. I think that its so great that you were able to look back at yourself and see new things. I also think it's awesome that you were able to see different things that made you who you are and why your personality is the way it is.

M7: Active Listening

This past week I got to experience a lot of active listening, and it wasn’t even for the assignment, but I used the techniques described to us in all of those conversations that I had. I had to do a lot of listening this week because I got put in between two friends who were having a dispute and didn’t want to directly talk to each other so I became their “owl.”🦉 I learned a lot about being an active listener in this situation because not only did I have to understand what they were saying and feeling because that’s what you should do when you are listening to someone and trying to be an active listener, but I also had to take this information pull out the parts the other person needed to receive and give it to them. I had about 3 conversations with each of them that were back and forth, I also had other one on one conversations with them, but not about this situation. I always try to be an active listener, because if I'm talking to someone I would want that from them as well....

"What's Your Story?"

When I think of multiculturalism  I think of the coexist stickers, everyone coming together to live a life together without judgement. Sadly though we aren't  coexist ing as a nation, we are all going against each other because we think our view of people is better than others, we judge before we even know them, or even when we do know them. We doesn’t have to be the way thought. We need to learn that our differences can bring us together . What is different in my life can open up something new in your life or make you realize something you had never thought of about your own life. Learn from people's differences. I have just recently learned so many new things about myself because of things I've found out about some of my closest friends that I didn’t even know was a part of them. Understanding of ones sexuality is a big deal in modern society. There are so many different places to fall on the spectrum of the L G B T Q community, which the acronym  L G B T Q ...
